Less Europe, please, we’re British

"Brits want less Europe", headlines La Croix, on the eve of a summit between British prime minister David Cameron and French president François Hollande at RAF base in Brize Norton. The French Catholic daily writes that:
The United Kingdom is divided on whether it belongs to the European Union, as the Ukip party campaigns on ways to unbind the ties with the EU. The UK's exit from the EU would have disastrous consequences on both sides [of the Channel]. British business pleas for politicians to obtain a reform of Europe or, at least, some exemptions.
As a referendum on Britain's possible exit from the EU is still debated in Westminster, La Croix points out that "no country has ever made secession from the European Union".
